Our congratulations to Fr Joseph Mallin SJ who celebrates his 102nd birthday in Hong Kong this week!
He has seen many changes during his years of service in China. A life of service to others was not unknown in his own family – his brother Seán also became a “ªJesuit”¬ and his father was Commandant Michael Mallin, executed in 1916 for his part in the Easter Rising, an insurrection by Irish republicans against British rule in Ireland.
