Irish Jesuits International based in Dublin, Ireland is the official outreach of the Irish Jesuit Province to our Jesuit partners in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
We work in 15 different countries within the Global South, partnering with Jesuit works which target the marginalised, vulnerable and those living in poverty, regardless of background, ethnicity or religious beliefs. During the lifetime of IJI’s last Strategic Framework 2017-2021, IJI’s International Development Programme has provided over €7.4 million in aid, reaching 512,325 direct beneficiaries in some of the most disadvantaged communities worldwide.
We continue this commitment in this 2022-2027 Strategic Framework, focusing on education, health and well-being, protection and care of our common home.
This is our fourth strategic framework within IJI and is informed by the new commitments within the Society of Jesus, the Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs), which are an invitation to rethink how we live, how we work and how we relate to the people we serve.
